Holding Space for the First Breath - A workshop for midwives, doulas and other birth workers

  • The Yoga Flat 14B Nørrebrogade København, 2200 Denmark (map)

The first breath is every human’s first experience with air, prana, life energy. It is a transformation from living in water wholly nourished by the continuous support from mother and the placenta to breathing and experiencing on our own as individuated land mammals. It is possibly one of the most intense physical experiences we can have as human beings. As the lungs open for the first time, heart valves close and others open, the blood shifts direction, and all the major organs begin to function. The time of the first breath has deep psychological and spiritual significance, equally as important as the physical. This is our landing on Planet Earth. How were you welcomed at your birth? Was anyone listening to you?

In this workshop we will explore the first breath and how to hold space for and protect it.

We will deepen into our own history of becoming and integrate even more safety in ourselves around birth.

You will have space to ask the deeper questions about patterns and connections and influence at birth. This inquiry will enhance your practice as a birth-supporter and bring more peace and authority to your practice.

There will be a Lecture, experiential Movement, and SOURCE Process&Breathwork

Price: 750 kr.
