Posture Clinic - Personal Alignment & Postural Integrity: Anatomically Based Functional Analysis Workshop w. Nicolai
In regular classes there tends to be very little time spend on the functionality of the poses worked on. As a student it can therefore sometimes be hard to figure out why we do what we do, and when something should be switched up to suit the individual body better.
In this workshop we will be looking at some basic principles to help you find integrity in poses to nourish a sens of ease in the body, even when we work with more complex postures.
We will be working on the differentiation between classic body placement, and individualised alignment and why it is important to find ones own way. To this we will also be talking about some of the basic principles of what it is in our individual bodies that forces us to think outside the aesthetically guided poses and what the function of the shapes could be, when individualised.
This workshop is open for all levels of practitioners, and is inspired from some of the work we do in our teacher trainings, when we dive into anatomy, physiology and kinesiology.
So if you are looking to geek out a bit and dive deeper into your asana practice, then this workshop could maybe be interesting to you.
