Step out of time. Return to the peaceful simplicity within yourself

SoundStillness is an evening where we jointly step back and examine the human conditions. We use mantra, meditation and self inquiry as tools to move beyond mind and language. In this way, the room for clarity and insight naturally arises.

The aim is to approach a better understanding of what freedom and peace is, and where it exists.

“Silence is the language of God, all else is a poor translation.”- Rumi

What we do

Breathing exercises / Pranayama: We start the evening off with pranayama, creating balance through work with the body’s more subtle energy patterns.

Kirtan: After settling in and relaxing the body with our breath, we go into the practice of kirtan, a call-and-response chanting of ancient Sanskrit mantras. Through the repetition of the divine names, we are able to still the mind and slowly uncover what is inside of ourselves, underneath the thoughts, emotions and stories, letting us rest more gently in the stillness of the heart.

Guided meditation: The sound of the mantra has taken us beyond the mind, and we now move into a guided meditation where we rediscover and strengthen the awareness of deep peace and silence that is always in and around us.

Inquiring dialogue: At the end, there will be room to investigate even further through questioning and inquiry.

Price: 80 kr.
