THE PELVIC FLOOR Teacher training
Optimized Function, Strength & Healing
A 30 Hour In-Depth Somatic Training With Leah Wrobel
YOGA ALLIANCE CONTINUING EDUCATION
WHY LEARN MORE ABOUT THE PELVIC FLOOR?
This unique pelvic floor somatic training (soma - body), maps out ways to increase awareness around the multi-layered pelvic floor in order to improve the overall quality of your students’/clients’/patients’ life, as well as your own. Learn how to bring greater vitality, pleasure and joy around an area that is often left shadowed because of life circumstances, taboos or past trauma.
Gaining an overview on how the core system functions, pelvic floor included, is gaining an overview on how the entire body functions - as a whole. For persons with any form of pelvic floor imbalances such as incontinence (urine or fecal leakage), pain in intercourse, hyperintense pelvic floor muscles, prolapse of the internal organs or chronic pelvic pain, learning how to access that area of the body, is key in recovery.
This training offers a uniquely broad perspective in approaching this important topic through several lenses including the imaginative (visualizations), scientific, somatic, cognitive and emotional lense. This allows for more “a-ha” moments. Learning how to work with the pelvic floor with such wisdom and from a place of connection, optimizes not only all movement practices, but also brings balance and clarity to everyday life.
WHO IS THIS TRAINING FOR?
This training is designed to support yoga and pilates teachers, personal trainers, physical therapists, and body workers who are interested in better understanding how they can support their clients/students/patients in regards to pelvic health. The range under this category is vast (think women after delivering a baby, and men recovering from prostate cancer). Seasoned movers who are interested in learning more about their body, supporting the healing of pelvic floor disorders, and learning how to effectively recruit the core for greater strength, are very welcome as well.

Testimonials from students of this training
Cathy Mondloch-Seavey, yoga teacher:
“I came to this training after a long journey as a yoga teacher, and as a practitioner suffering from pelvic floor disorder after giving birth to my first child. The training has augmented my teaching in a meaningful way, that I will be able to offer help to those suffering from pelvic floor disorders, Additionally, I know that my practice is going to grow in a positive direction away from pain and toward a greater sense of awareness and balance. Leah offers a wealth of information and has thoughtfully curated her work in this excellent training. I would highly recommend it for all yoga / movement teachers or for any practitioner wishing to learn more.”
Martine Bjerke, chiropractor and yoga teacher:
“Leahs Pelvic floor training was truly wonderful! Leah managed to hold a safe and warm space with loads of ways to dive into the practice of the pelvic floor. As a chiropractor it has opened up a new way for me to approach patients with pelvic floor injury and trauma.“
Stefanie Jolak, yoga teacher and pelvic pain activist:
“Suffering from pelvic pain myself, the course gave me the perfect opportunity to connect the dots between the knowledge and experience I already have with yoga and pelvic pain. I was not in a good place physically and mentally when I came to the course, but Leah provided a safe space for sharing and learning for everyone. I initially attended the course to receive different exercises for pelvic pain, but I left with so much more than that. I left with a different perspective on both my personal pelvic pain condition and on the importance of yoga as a tool for recovery, but also on how I want to pass the practice on to others.”
Ryan Sullivan, LMT:
“Leah Wrobel is a world-class, top-notch teacher. Her style is relatable, genuine and superb. Her knowledge and ability to express it is second to none. She teaches in such a way you are sure to gain understanding that is directly and immediately beneficial to your life. The teaching she offers about Pelvic Yoga is rare, powerful and necessary. Whether you have studied the topic in depth previously or never approached it at all, Leah will be sure to teach you in such a way you gain profound insight and understanding. You will UTILIZE the knowledge and USE the practices. I cannot recommend Leah's classes enough. I will study everything with her that I am able to.”
