Yoga for Women’s Health
Workshop with Lauriane
This workshop will offer you perspective and guidance for the journey of your monthly cycles and inner seasons.
You will spend this experiential afternoon as a way to expand your self-study, find balance in this essential pillar of your health, reconnect to your inner wisdom, and feel empowered by your wild feminine.
You will be exploring the nuances and subtleties of your body in a non-judgmental, supportive, and safe space.
Exploring, welcoming, honouring, and (re)connecting with your monthly cycle and inner seasons is key to your mental and physical well-being.
It also plays a major part in supporting fertility, as well as improving common women’s reproductive issues such as PMS, menstruation pain (dysmenorrhea), absence of menstruation (amenorrhea), heavy menstruation, endometriosis, fibroids, and PCOS.
Women’s health is often overlooked in yoga, and reduced to a few poses considered as cure-all. During this workshop, you will learn how yoga (and lifestyle) can help balance your hormones, and support your reproductive cycle.
Here is what you can expect:
A heart-womb greeting, followed by some journaling and a sharing circle
An overview of the four phases of the cycle (Menstruation/Winter, Follicular/Spring, Ovulation/Summer, Luteal/Autumn), in the lense of both physiology and conscious awareness.
Some guidance to support and welcome pregnancy, incl. the phases of IVF and help prevent miscarriage, or manage fertility if you are not trying to conceive.
Some guidance to support PMS, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, heavy periods, endometriosis, fibroids, and PCOS with yoga and lifestyle.
A practice that ties it all together, with relevant yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), mudras, and acupressure points, to support each phase of the cycle.
A deep relaxation and a yoga nidra.

Menstrual cycle awareness: “If we honour and respect the forces of change that work within us through the menstrual cycle, then what we learn about this cycle carries us through the challenges of all other cycles of change. Meeting the challenges of our experience of the menstrual cycle supports our capacity to embrace change in all of the other dimensions of our lives. (...) The notion of transformation is central to a spiritualised understanding of the power of the menstrual cycle: for, it is through an acceptance and understanding of the rhythms of our own monthly cycle that we are able to accept the transformative wisdom which each of these experiences has to offer us. (..) For to encounter menstrual cycles without awareness of the capacity for deep wisdom that resides within them becomes an experience of difficulty and challenge that seems to have no point: a focus of resentment, annoyance, embarrassment and shame.
