Are you new to yoga, have had a longer break from yoga or wants to know more about Primary Practice this workshop is for you. When joining this workshop you will get to know more of the foundations : Breath, Bandhas and the alignment in the yoga practice. In this workshop we will focus on the movements of Primary Practice, Astanga Yoga which is the foundations of asana practice, the mother of Vinyasa Yoga.
Primary Practice is a structured sequence with Sun Salutaions, standing sequence, seated sequence and a finishing sequence. It is a dynamic practice with an intelligent sequence to work through the hole body. One asana/posture will lead the body to the next asana/posture. You will be introduced to modifications and alternatives to the postures so the yoga practice will be for your body. We do not have to look alike to work the same muscles in the body.
When you get to know the sequence you will start to work towards a moving meditation.
On this Workshop we will have more time to learn about, get the feeling and maybe understand the Breath, and the Bandhas a little more. You will have the opportunity to get individual guidens.
Furthermore we will go through some alignments so your movements will be more fluent when you start to move with your breath. Some techniques will be explained to make the transitions from one posture to another more easy and to find a better balance.
From Yoga Sutra: Sthira-sukam Asanam is commonly understood as “yoga postures should be stable, and the body be at ease.
We will end the workshop with a cup of tea where you are invited to ask all the questions you still might have.
