singing & Mantra
The voice as a gateway to meditation
w. Sarah Emilie & Cipa
Join Singer, Voice- and Yoga Teacher Cipa and Breathwork and Yoga Teacher Sarah Emilie in this workshop where you get to explore the yoga practice by using your voice as a means to reach meditation.
First part of the workshop we will be warming up the voice and body through different singing meditations, breath exercises and body movement.
How can you release and connect to your inner voice and sing without strain and without holding back? How does it feel to sing when you let go of expectations and just sing with all that you are? How does it feel to join voices with a big group? We will explore this together.
Second part of the workshop is a mini kirtan session, where we will chant and learn different mantras accompanied by instruments.
We will end the session with a long Shavasana where Sarah Emilie and Cipa will perform a little concert.
This workshop is about singing and breathing and also it is a friendly dip in to the practice of Nada & Bhakti Yoga. Nada yoga means, Yoga of Sound, and uses pure sounds as a means of meditation. Bhakti means devotion and Bhakti Yoga is all about chanting devotional songs to connect to a space of grace.
For questions about the workshop fell free to reach out to Cipa or Sarah Emilie
Everyone can join this wokshop - no prior experience with Kirtan og singing is required.
