An Intro Course to get familiar with the basic techniques and wordings in a yoga class, so you can feel comfortable in joining an open yoga class at The Yoga Flat.
You will learn how to adjust your yoga to fit your body – and still get all the benefits from practicing yoga. We will work towards more awareness of the body to be able to set you own boundaries and grow in your own pace.
If you are new to yoga or need to fresh up your yoga practice or maybe need to follow up on some techniques, then this course is for you.
In the course we will go through:
The basics of sun salutations: alignments, breath, modifications, finding strength and grounding and whatever you have a question on. Finding ways to move without to much of a struggle. There will be some small tricks to make it easier.
How to only use the energy you need – not too much and not too little. That is easier said than do
Furthermore, we will go through standing postures and find the easiest way to transfer the body from one posture to another in a flow.
Going through sitting postures, we will try to understand the anatomy and reasons why we do things one way and not another. And you are going to find the most beneficial way to work your body – and that might be different from your neighbor.
Because it is a course over some weeks, we can slowly build up the strength, flexibility and some harder techniques in a pace that makes you feel you can take it all in.
There will be time for your personal questions, and probably everyone else will learn from your question as well. There are no stupid questions – Maybe answers - and I will cover them.
